Liberty Traditional is creating a spacious new play space for students which will include a recreational structure with decks, slides, and ladders. Plus, students are now enjoying our recently completed basketball courts.

Free Fingerprinting For Parent Volunteers
On Thursday, October 13, Liberty Traditional will offer free fingerprinting on a first come, first served basis during parent-teacher conferences from 12:30-2 p.m. A picture ID is required. Parents are urged to volunteer and take part in this free service.
Hispanic Heritage Night
Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 to October 15, and Liberty is celebrating with a family potluck on Friday, October 7, from 5-7 p.m. Join us for an evening of family fun with a special performance by our 5th and 6th graders. Family Zumba Night

Family Movie & Pizza Night
Join us on September 9 at 5 p.m. for a movie and pizza, along with Title I review and Q&A. Parents can expect to learn about the Parent Teacher Compact and volunteering at school, in addition to meeting administration members. Students may wear pajamas and are encouraged to bring blankets, sleeping bags, pillows etc. Tickets are $1 and payment must be received by September 2. Building Strong Readers: Vocabulary
Words are the building blocks of communication. Comprehension vastly improves when a reader knows the meaning of the words on the page; and the main goal of reading is comprehension. For all students, English natives and ESL, a strong vocabulary benefits learning activities: reading, speaking, and listening. It boils down to the fact that the more words a child knows, the better their comprehension can become.
