Clubs and More

Arts & Crafts Club

Wednesday 1:50–2:40 p.m. (K-1st)
Friday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (2nd-3rd)

Seasonal and themed craft projects, utilizing a variety of materials and textures, will inspire and engage student’s creativity. This club may also be offered to parents in the future.

Board Games

Monday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (4th-5th)
Friday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (K-1st)

Fun, challenging, and a great way to teach good sportsmanship, board games are always a favorite. During this activity, students can test and improve their skills at common board games with friends and classmates.

Business & Marketing

Tuesday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (6th-8th)

This class is meant to inspire and cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit in our older students. We will cover leadership topics and go through the steps of establishing and running a company, in an effort to challenge and enlighten students.

Creative Writing Club

Monday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (6th-8th)
Tuesday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (4th-5th)

The power of the word is all around us. In this club, students will have the chance to play wordsmith and put their persuasive techniques to work in the creation of marketing and advertising for school-wide events and proposals, including visual displays, intercom announcements, and video presentations.

Performing Arts Club: Theater/Drama 101

Thursday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (2nd-3rd)

This club will offer students the skills and opportunities to perform plays and skits during school-sanctioned activities. From learning techniques for memorizing lines to teaching stage directions and positioning terms, and other useful information for budding young actors and actresses, this popular option is enjoyable and useful.

Science Club: Strange & Amazing Plants & Animals

Monday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (2nd-3rd)

Science is fun! Animals and plants can be fascinating, which is why this activity focuses on the strange, unusual, and mystifying specimens the planet Earth has to offer. From plants that catch their own food to transparent fish and birds that can hover, we’ll be covering it all.

Reading Challenge

Wednesday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (2nd-3rd)

Peer support and competition are great tools to inspire improvement. Designed with that in mind, students choose their own books and reading selections, then record and compare their reading achievements in speed, accuracy, understanding, and difficulty level. They will also set reading goals and track their personal growth through their records.

Silly Songs & Dance

Monday & Thursday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (K-1st)

Nothing like a fun song to make you want to get up and dance. This activity is an entertaining way to instill a love of singing and dancing in children, with the added bonus of helping boost their confidence.

Sports Activities

Gymnastics Club

Wednesday 12:15–1:00 p.m. (K-1st) | 1:00–1:50 p.m. (2nd-3rd) | 4:15–5:15 p.m. (4th-5th)

This class uses exercise to help students improve their balance, coordination, and strength while having a blast. Beginning with warm-ups, students will progress toward somersaults, cartwheels, handstands, and balancing on a beam.

Whiffle Ball 101

Tuesday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (2nd-3rd)
Thursday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (4th-5th)
Friday 4:15–5:15 p.m. (6th-8th)

Whiffle ball’s similarity to baseball makes it a popular option. This activity helps teach teamwork and leadership skills. It’s also a great choice for kids with a flair for the dramatic. Whiffle ball makes learning rules and fundamentals fun.
